Growth, Family, and Community
Once the Kansas City location found its footing, Boppi's family joined him, marking an exciting new chapter for Kryger Glass. Slowly, the company expanded from Nebraska and Missouri into Iowa. It wasn't long before the next generation began to make their mark. Boppi's son, Bill Jr., practically grew up in the shop, and after graduating from Creighton, he officially joined the family business in 1984.
A year later, Boppi acquired the current downtown Kansas City location. His big heart and generous spirit extended beyond the business; he was known for his acts of kindness towards those in need, often offering a warm meal or a new pair of shoes. Boppi's compassion and community-mindedness became an integral part of the Kryger Glass culture, shaping the company's values and commitment to giving back.
Expansion and a Lasting Legacy
With the completion of the new Kansas City warehouse in 1986, Kryger Glass expanded its footprint further into Iowa and Kansas. Boppi's youngest son, Kyle, joined the family business full-time, solidifying the next generation's dedication to carrying on the Kryger name.
When Boppi retired around the age of 70, he proudly passed the torch to his sons, Kyle and Bill Jr. They continue to lead Kryger Glass today, upholding the same principles of quality, integrity, and customer care that their father instilled in them.

Max Kryger's Journey
Like his sister, Max's connection to Kryger Glass began early. From working in the warehouse as a young boy to installing auto glass during his school years, he was immersed in the family business from the start. After graduating from Saint Louis University in 2013, he briefly explored a career in finance. However, the call of the family legacy proved too strong, and following Boppi's passing in 2014, Max returned to Kryger Glass to lead the Iowa location.
His dedication and hard work quickly propelled him forward. Starting as the Director of Sales and Operations for the Des Moines Retail and Wholesale locations, he later moved to Kansas City to gain further experience under the Vice President. Today, as Vice President himself, Max oversees operations for all Kryger Glass locations, ensuring the company's continued success and upholding the family's legacy of excellence. It's a legacy that continues to be recognized, as Kryger Glass was recently honored with a Kansas City Favorites award in the Auto Glass category, a testament to the team's commitment to quality and service.
